If you can only see a gray box where the chat
should appear...
Problem:
You can see a gray box where you added the code but you cannot see the login
area it just stays gray.
Possible Causes:
This would tend to indicate a problem with either JavaScript or your Java
Virtual Machine (needed to run Java applets).
Browser Settings - Check both JavaScript AND the Java Virtual Machine are
INSTALLED and ENABLED in your browser settings.
Internet Explorer 6 - The wise people at Microsoft have decided NOT to install
the Java Virtual Machine as part of a standard installation.
MAC Users - Previous releases of MAC Java have been faulty and unreliable
however upgrading to the latest version will sort out these problems.
AOL Users - Previous releases of AOL either had NO Java support or unreliable
older versions of Java however upgrading to the latest version will sort out
these problems.
WebTv Users - WebTV does NOT support any of the advanced features the web has to
offer today including JavaScript, Java, Flash and Plug-Ins. Our Java chat
systems will not work for WebTV users.
Failed Download - One or more files needed to run the chat room may not have
been download due to browser time-outs (more evident during your ISPs peak
times). Missing files will be downloaded if you REFRESH your browser. In the
case of corrupted files (damaged during transport) you will need to close down
ALL instances of your browser to clear the corrupted version from memory and
download a fresh copy.
